| Strategy Plans
We shall use the unique features of our process as a tool
for efficient and effective waste management, and practice
manufacturing
methods which minimize our impact on the environment and
obtain the benefit of recycling whenever possible. Four
strategic
plans were developed.
|
1. Waste to Raw Material Plan
|
| |
-
Flyash Program
-
PFA Blended Cement Program
-
Industrial Waste Program
-
Flue-gas Desulphuric Gypsum Program
|
|
2. Waste to Energy Plan
|
| |
-
MDF (Marpol Derived Fuel) Program
|
|
3. Waste Reduction Plan
|
| |
-
Waste Reduction Plan
-
Zero Discharge Program
-
Waste Classification Program
-
Environmental Awareness Program
|
|
4. Emission Reduction Plan
|
| |
-
Greenhouse Gas Reduction
-
Green Delivery
-
Energy Efficient Program

An example of our solid waste management
 |
-
Our production systems are totally enclosed to
avoid generation of fugitive dust emission.
-
Dust collector and EPs are installed to clean the
dust-laden air before discharge to atmosphere.
-
Dust collected from dust collectors and EPs are
returned to the production system.
-
Any spillage on ground will be wet swept or vacuum
and returned to production after sorting.
-
Only highly contaminated solid waste will be disposed
to licensed landfill.
|
The following environmental aspects and impacts are identified
and are continuously addressed by our improvement plans:
- Dust
- Chemical waste
- Ground water
- Solid waste
- Air emission - NOx emission; SOx emission
- Effluent discharge
- Visual impact
- Hazardous chemical
- Noise
