PPFAC can reduce the permeability, volume of large capillary pores and destroy the interconnection of capillaries in concrete. Such advantages are derived from the fineness of the material, the pozzolanic reaction and the reduced water requirement of PPFAC mixes. The fluid transport properties of such concrete are considerably reduced, thus enhancing waterproofing and durability.
